Political instability in the country as a negative factor in the development of the tourist sphere of the country (for example, the countries of North Africa) p3
Consider the dynamics of tourism activity of the world’s population in the period from 1995-2009 pp. As can be seen from the graph, from 1995 to 2000 there is a stable increase in tourist activity of the population, period 2000 – 2003 pp. is characterized by a certain neutral stability, and the time period from 2003 to 2008 is in rapid growth. We can then observe a period of slight recession caused by the global financial crisis and a subsequent period of growth since 2010.
Thus, we can say that the upward trend in tourist activity of the population will continue for at least 3-4 years, which in turn can contribute to a faster recovery of lost positions in the tourist market of post-revolutionary countries in North Africa.
However, to date, Egypt remains one of the most unique countries in the world, combining various types of tourism: historical, cultural, religious, beach, archeological, sports and recreational. All this is due to the huge tourist potential of the country and relatively affordable, in terms of value, resorts for groups of tourists according to social and economic status.
In addition to the traditional types of tourist services, new destinations in the tourism sector are becoming more and more popular in the country. In particular, conference tourism is developing rapidly. The total number of events held at the Cairo International Conference Center was 665, including 132 international and local conferences and 235 exhibitions and 298 visits. Sports tourism in the form of diving tourism is also actively developing. Yes, Sharm El Sheikh is one of the largest dive centers in the world because of its environmental potential and unique diverse nature. Sharm El Sheikh is one of the main centers of attraction for domestic and international tourism, in addition to this is a resort for fishing, tourism and diving.
Conclusions. A large number of different factors, both internal and external, can be influenced by the development of the tourism sphere of the country. The factor of political stability can be attributed to the internal group, which by its nature is the most important because it can directly influence the development of the tourist potential of the country. This aspect is particularly important for developing countries, and most of all for so-called third world countries. As a rule, the economy of these countries is held in several industries, one of which is tourism. In such a situation, if there are acute political contradictions in the midst of the state, degenerated into armed conflicts, it is difficult to maintain a positive development in the sectors of the economy, and especially those that produce goods in the form of tourist services.
