The sun boat is a boat on which the sun god Ra with other gods “transported the sun from east to west.” There were two rooks, as it were, the daytime Manjet and the night Meskett. Ra’s journey was full of dangers and adventures. In the afternoon, the gigantic serpent Apop, personifying darkness and evil, to destroy Ra, lurched Rook and rushed at her. But Ra always triumphed, casting Apophis into the abyss. But sometimes the evil snake still managed to take its own. Then a bad weather began, clouds covered the sky, a burning wind blew from the desert. If Apopus swallowed the Rook, a solar eclipse occurred.
